When I launched this blog on August 11, 2009, my intention was to write down-to-earth articles on personal development and that intention hasn't changed since. I wanted to do this by sharing and contributing to the field as best as I possibly could, by writing about the following topics: "life", "blogging" and "personal growth"
Although I was interested in blogging as a topic, I quickly noticed how fast I began to lose interest in cultivating blogging skills and writing about them. Blogging about blogging didn't seem to hold as much value to this blog (and to me) as I originally expected it to be. There are already so many blogs covering the topic of "blogging" out there, that there isn't much left for me to contribute to. At least, that is how I feel about it. Basicaly, my idea about learning to blog has simplified over time: if you want to learn more on how to build a successful blog, first spend some time reading about it and then apply what you've learned. In other words: blog, make mistakes and if you fail, try harder

The original blogtitle also contained the word "life", but it seems to me that life and personal growth are so intertwined, I can't separate the one from the other. So "life" lost a part of its purpose in the original way I described this blog.
With "life" and "blogging" out of the way, all that was left of the original blogtitle was "the pursuit of personal growth". Although it states a deliberate action, to grow as a human being, it didn't say much about the content of this blog. I wanted to emphasize the levelheadedness of this blog and for some reason, "sensible" was the first word that popped into my mind. I also think it has a nice ring to it and covers the load of this blog quite nicely.
So from now on, this blog will be known as "Sensible Growth"
